If deletions were handled differently than RecentChanges or RecentEdits, where they would be maintained on a separate page called RecentDeletions, then they would not take up the space. (When a new Deletion is suggested or confirmed, the RecentChanges pages could simply be updated to include a line: RecentDeletions, which when followed would take you to the page. A page nominated for deletion would be on both pages, A page confirmed deleted would appear only on DeletedPages. A SimpleMinded solution. - AnonymousOnPurpose
