Perhaps the first neuroscientist - well strictly an anesthesiologist - to pick up the ideas of RogerPenrose and point him to microtubules of the cytoskeleton as the probable location of the kind of quantum coherence that Penrose posits may give rise to consciousness in human beings and animals.
