Is there a trend away from RDBMS?

• No. Having worked through the RDBMS suspicion of the 80s and the OODBMS hype of the 90s, I know RDBMSes are stronger now than they've been since their inception. Almost every dynamic Web site is driven by a SQL DBMS, and true relational languages like TutorialDee are increasingly an active research area.
