"Quadrant One" of
FourQuadrants, the time management matrix described in
SevenHabitsOfHighlyEffectivePeople =
Important and Urgent activities.
Examples:
- Crises
- Pressing problems
- Deadline-driven projects, meetings, preparations (RealDeadlines)
This is compared mostly to
QuadrantTwo activities, which are Important but not Urgent. You should definitely spend time on
QuadrantOne activities, but don't forget
QuadrantTwo.
For example, if you have to cut down a tree and saw it into planks, then the chopping and sawing are Q1 activities. Sharpening the axe and saw are Q2 activities. See
SharpenTheSaw.
