I believe that it was P. J. Plauger's articles that introduced me to the concept of
PairProgramming
, long before I ever heard of
ExtremeProgramming
. Of course, I didn't believe him then. I believe him now.

).
His last name is usually misspelled as Plaugher, especially when he is mentioned next to Kernigan.
