MandelBug
Last edit October 8, 2008A bug that has a single simple cause, but which causes the system to exhibit wildly chaotic and unpredictable behaviour. Named after the MandelbrotSet.
Contrast with a FractalBug, which is a bug, after which its resolution is found, reveals additional self-similar bugs elsewhere in the code, after which they are fixed, likewise elsewhere still.
