Linear programming is syntax that assumes two points are connected in a LinearStyle, opposed to the more reasonable viewpoint that ComplexNumbersAreYourFriends.

Huh?!? This page seems to be talking about some kind of LinearProgramming other than this kind: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_programming -- which as far as I am aware is the only widespread usage of the term. What is this page talking about?
