Larry Best is a senior principal at American Management
Systems, Inc., currently serving as Director of Application
Architecture Lab of the AMS Center for Advanced
Technologies. In this role he contributes to AMS's
development of an
advanced Smalltalk-based foundation application
architecture consisting of a number of generic
application software
components. He is author of
Application Architecture: Modern Large-Scale Information Processing
(Wiley, 1990), and is a
frequent writer and speaker on the topic of software
architecture
