The Dreyfus Skills Acqusition Model is a model of the stages of learning. Author HubertDreyfus.

There are five stages identified.

  • Novices
  • Advanced Beginners
  • Competent
  • Proficient
  • Expert

It is discussed a lot in the book PragmaticThinkingAndLearning by AndrewHunt.
