Last edit March 9, 2005
There are numerous critical IT survival skills for the new start, as well as people already working.

Some of these include:
  • knowledge of the environment and culture; learn about any shifts quickly
  • ability to apply that knowledge
  • some aptitude in technical matters
  • self-discipline and perseverance
  • good skills in making trade-offs
  • lots of resilience
  • knowing when to keep your mouth shut

Some of the above fall within the domain of SocialIntelligence.
